The aim of this camp is to train and qualify cadets to use the L98A2 Cadet General Purpose Rifle.

  • Webbing (please speak to the Squadron staff if you need to borrow some)
  • Civilian Clothes for evening hours (NO OFFENSIVE CLOTHING)
  • 3822 (with Passport Style Photo inside)
  • TG21 (& TG23 If necessary)
  • Personal washbag and showering kit
  • Sleeping Bag
  • Pillow (Optional)

The first meal that will be provided will be Saturday Breakfast, and the last meal will be Sunday Lunch. Personnel are to ensure they have eaten prior to arriving at camp on Friday.

All personnel are to arrive at the Squadron at 1815hrs on Friday 1 Feb. Departure from camp is expected to be at approx. 1700hrs on Sunday 3 Feb. Cadets will be departing from the Squadron at approximately 1845hrs, we will ensure parents are kept up to date closer to the time.

The cost for this training weekend is £10 per allocated cadet place. This is to be handed to the Squadron (CI J Tully) on or before Thursday 31st January 2019. If any person is unable to meet this requirement, please email adj.457@aircadets.org.

I joined Farnborough Squadron in May 2011 as a Cadet and rose through the ranks, reaching the rank of Cadet Warrant Officer (CWO) in Aug 2016. I joined the Staff team in Feb 2018 as a Civilian Instructor (CI) and have since been promoted to Sergeant (Sgt) following a week at RAF College Cranwell in July 2019.
