Briefing notice for First Aid Training Weekend 9-10 Feb:

Venue
The following courses will take place over the weekend of Sat 9 – Sun 10 February 2019:
a) Youth First Aid (YFA).
b) Activity First Aid (AFA).

Eligibility
The following eligibility criteria will apply:
a) YFA – Enrolled cadets who have completed Heartstart Certificate.
b) AFA – Cadets or Staff over 16 years old. Priority will be given to those requiring this qualification in order to maintain currency in other qualifications. Personnel must have completed Heartstart Certificate.

Qualification
On successful completion of the course, personnel will achieve:
a) YFA – Allowing Cadets to wear the Bronze First Aid badge.
b) AFA – Allowing Cadets to wear the Silver First Aid badge (this is the only course allowing Cadets to wear this badge).

Domestic Arrangements
There is a charge of £5.00 to be paid in cash on arrival, this will cover the cost of refreshments.
Accommodation is NOT available for any attending students.
1216 (Eastleigh) Squadron does not have any catering facilities and therefore students are to bring suitable food/drink to last the day.
All personnel are to bring consent forms TG21 (and TG23 if applicable), this will be handed in upon arrival.
A mug will be required for hot drinks during the course.

Timings
Saturday – 0900hrs-1700hrs
Sunday – 0900hrs-1630hrs

Directing Staff
Course Director – Sgt D Larner.
Other Staff/Cadets may be requested to support assessments on Sunday.

Kit List
Dress for all personnel will be Green Uniform (MTP PCS/CS95 or DMP CS95)

Attendance
On applying for the course you accept that you are responsible for paying the course fee. No-shows will still be charged due to the cost associated with qualifications and consumables.
